To beat cheap tactic- stand on the roof of the stage and throw rocks with tank they cant see you you can hurt them, everybody wins, and I appologise and will refrain from using that tactic anymore.

Except for the fact you all broke up when the Tank came. We only killed you because one person got incapped, and then another went to save him, and got incapped as well...

But it doesn't matter now, because next time we will play on Hard Rain... :3

It's really easy to hit people as a Tank on the DC finale, simply because of the sheer amount of stuff there is to get stuck on when you're back-peddling. I incapped an entire team using the previously mentioned strategy simply because they were too busy firing at me to look where they were going and I caught up to them when they got stuck and proceeded to beat them shitless. All you need is one good punch.

Disclaimer: This will only work when playing with lower experienced players and attempting to charge at the survivors hoping they backpedal into something will cause you to be ridiculed.

How to kill a Tank by Secret Agent Clank:

1) Everyone pick melee
2) Everyone beat the tank 2 times in the middle of his punches
3) Shoot him with whatever's left
3) Win!

Problem is I've had 2, 3 teams tops that were even willing to try this. Works every time, assuming you can actually melee (axtinguisher equalizer boardnsword and knife all don't count).

Aye, they now take 5% of the tanks full health instead of 10%.

So, 2 melee hits each will be less than half its health (40%). It'd be faster if you all just shotgunned it now I think. If you get close enough to melee and spam the autoshotgun or battle shotgun or SAIGA or whatever it is, it would probably do more and kill it faster.

Guys beating tank 1 on 1 is simple with enough strategy and practice with it.
I went up against a tank one on one and he missed at least 6 or so  punches (during our UC and friend no pubber game) (In the end a smoker or jockey got me, I can't remember, I got clipped onto a wall and couldn't dodge that tank punch)

To do this do the following.

1)Spamm auto shotty till bullets are out.
2)Pull out melee.
3)When tank punches jump to the left or right.
4)The timing is a bit tricky, it has to be a tiny delay after the other player presses m1.
5)Also, try to jump towards what arm is punching as if you do so during when the tank raises the arm but didn;t slam it down/hit you yet, you can clip through or atleast it won't register damage.
6) I'll try to find a video of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CesrRAVb9jI
Ok this isn't exactly it but it's kinda close, You can dodge all the swings, by jumping to the side.

Things to watch out for:
DO NOT JUMP BACK; Jumping side+back more often then not won't work, because you either underestimate the length of the arm or he'll catch you with the second punch, or you'll soon hit a wall behind you.

Try not to rely on this heavily until you have it perfected, instead use this to quickly escape a tank and run back from it.

Watch the fuck out for smokers and jokeys  Angry

Example:

--o-- = Tank
x = you

Fig 1 :

I
  \o--

   X

As you can see the tank has raised his arm. This occurs right after the tank presses m1.
Jump to these locations quickly.

I
  \o--
X
X

I know Left 4 Dead has the unique characteristic of resembling a PuG when you're organising a game with friends, but it doesn't have to be. I haven't played L4D2 in months, and I just wanted to eat humans and shoot zombies, no matter the odds. Starting a game of Left 4 Dead takes long enough, let's not waste more time trying to HURR BALANCE and flipping out when we end up a player short. I thought the point of playing with people you know was to have an environment where you're more likely to have fun, communicate, not get votekicked and the like, not to have an epic comp match.

You kept crashing so when you were afk for like 20 seconds we thought you were crashing again and was stuck in the game so we tried to votekick. Sorry bout that  Undecided

Also, I'm a competitve person, but I'll try to limit that in our future UC l4d2 lobby.

I wasn't talking about any specific votekick, just that it goes a long way just to organise a game with people instead of playing with disposable pubs.

Although letting a pub join as a replacement probably won't hurt if it's really necessary. Be ready for 'pubstomp' claims though.

And I'm a competitive person too, but I became much more casual in TF2 pub play ever since I started doing scrims and pugs. It makes me more accepting of playing the game in an absolutely banine way that has no semblance of teamwork.
