tehPete emailed through a link to a sweet as video he’s put together of him owning it up. Mostly as a spy, but with some demoman thrown into the mix as well. As we know from previous analysis, spy and demoman are the two most super awesome pro-classes in the hands of an expert - which they are here.
A compilation of some gameplay footage I took at the end of last year - arranged to music, for your enjoyment. It started life as another Tips video, but WMM kept crashing out and corrupting the save; after the umpteenth remake, it evolved into more of a gameplay video. TBH I wasn’t sure whether to upload it or not (I’m still not happy with it - the footage is two months old & imo I’m much better than this now), but after so many remakes it seemed a waste to just delete it!
tehPete also did the excellent “I, Spy” tutorial video a while back.
Watch it right through to the end to see the ridiculous dustbowl defense ownage.
The always kick-ass Elvis! linked another video demonstrating the grace and beauty those crazy young men with their flying… stickies. Now improved with alcohol!
There is a lot of sniper pummeling in this vid. I’m all for anything that messes up a snipers day. I think snipers are quickly becoming my MHC (most hated class).
The vid was posted up on the tube of you by HobosRust
Deep Blue emailed with links to a new tutorial video he has made for playing demoman. Some good tips to watch for aspiring demomen. Only thing I’d change is to add more discussion on the finer points of demoman crotch taunting.
Here’s the youtube vid. It’s also up on stage6 for those who like the nicer version.
Ok, so the guys from the Control Point podcast were saying that they don’t get any love from ubercharged anymore, and yeah, its pretty much like they said. I figured everyone who reads here probably already knows about Control Point anyway, and I’ve been a slack ass and haven’t been posting everything that has been happening in the TF2 world.
I think we got mentioned like 3 times in their last podcast, so you should go listen to it (it’s always great value anyway). It keeps my ipod going for a couple of train commutes each week. I’m sure that people look at me funny at the station when I’m smirking away to myself when they’re goofing off talking about stuff.
The guys from Heads On Sticks have put together a couple of videos showing off some of the tactical moves you can do with the Soldier rocket jumps, and Demoman sticky bomb jumps.
One of the things I love in Team Fortress 2 is the humour. The “Meet The…” series of trailer videos introducing the different classes shows this off nicely.
