100 Reflection Kills
When you invite your friends to TF2, you tell them to never be a W+M1 pyro. When they ask why, you say, “You get to grow up to be Huey Lewis.” Here is the same strapping young lad returning with his friend bahbahbah taking on the challenge of 100 reflection kills. It’s quite stunning actually. Enjoy.
Stars Huey Lewis and bahbahbah, and edited by bahbahbah.

Things like that make me feel bad about my skills as a Pyro… :/

Haha, ho I got one of those the other day.
I wanted to push a Soldier, and he fired a critical rocket at the same time.

I love the end credits showing the scouts getting their own sandman.

Did anyone else notice that the preview for the youtube video features kill number 69? Go look again. Yeah, that’s it.

It would be even more impressive if he had 100 reflected flare gun kills.

I commend your use of music.
Makes me feel bad about needing at least 20 feet to even reflect. =S

Timing, educated guesswork, and Soldier experience.
All you need for close-combat reflection.

Man I got like 10 this evening but am too lazy to record them. My favorite one was the reflected sentry rocket to kill the pyro I was flaming up until the compression blast.
I was hoping for a reflected sentry rocket or flare gun kill in the video.

Well, I started the video expecting extreme metal, but upon actually watching it I wasn’t disappointed by what I saw

I loved the part where he airblasted the guy
Obscure responded on 14 Apr 2009 at 4:43 pm #
I wonder why he switches to the flare gun after he airblasts. He does it about half the time. It seems like switching to the axetinguisher would be the better choice, but he must have a reason for doing what he does.

axtinguishers not much use on an enemy who’s been blasted away from you by the airblast ;3

I personally wait for a soldier/demo kritz kreige to attempt this; either he or the medic explodes

That is just amazing, maybe I should try the normal flamethrower more often
GFC responded on 15 Apr 2009 at 2:50 am #

On another note, I noticed that in his Fireblasted 2 video. He had killed me when I had first bought the game (I was known as Jango) and it was his 2nd kill in the montage. I loved that montage and just noticed and I shat bricks.

I’ll bet my face that Huey can airblast hitscan weapons.
Monchberter responded on 16 Apr 2009 at 6:30 am #
Normal flamethrower is so much more versatile than the backburner. It’s my default and i wouldn’t switch for anything.
Brilliant vid. Especially the triple kill crit reflected rocket.
Notger responded on 16 Apr 2009 at 7:49 pm #
Never knew, you could reflect baseballs, too.
Great vid, thanks!

What kind of ping do you need to pull this off? How does the timing of the airblast work with lag correction?
APARTEID responded on 22 Apr 2009 at 12:16 pm #
That’s quite the curiosity, I’ll say, but how does Huey handle himself with an Axtinguisher?
evolved responded on 24 Jun 2009 at 4:50 am #
@AlphaChannel,
Airblasts are not lag compensated. So no rewind occurs, meaning if you are lagging ~200ms, you’ll need to reflect the rocket from a CQ soldier before he even fires it (on your computer).
