DIY Team Fortress 2 Spy Masks
More after yesterday’s spy related forum goodness, the forums rock out again with more kick ass TF2 stuff. This time it’s a set of life size, do-it-yourself spy masks by semafour:
Inspired by supremesonic’s post in the picture posting thread, I have whipped up some lifesize spy masks, as I said I would.
They really ought to be printed at 72dpi, as that’s how I made them. Yes, dumb, it should be higher, but its 2:30 am, so give me a break.
The pictures for the classes have been taken from the team fortress 2 gcf. They are not particularly high resolution, and have been enlarged.
Enjoy!
(I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of these in action!)
(Forum thread here, Flickr Page with download here)
I’m gonna print a set of these out. I’m sure I’ll find some legitimate, productive use for them.

If I knew what dpi was or how to print at a certian amount of it, I would so do it.

I already made 3 masks for myself at this year’s Israeli Halloween (’Purim’, not Halloween but close). I made this:

(Yes it’s embarrassing)
wizarD: dpi is dots pet inch, basically the resolution you print at. You set it at the printer configuration screen before you print, or in photoshop if you print from there.

BTW My masks were identical as they were also taken from the game files.
You should be aware eyeholes are somewhat weird though. I made Medic, Heavy and Engineer, and of them the engineer was the best to walk around with as he has big goggles.

Oh, okay.
And oh my, you WERE a spy!

Wow, these are perfect! Me and some friends go to a Lord of the Rings reenactment three times a year, and we’re going as TF2 characters to the next one.
I’m gonna be the spy!

Haha, I love it. I’m definitely printing these out when I get the chance.

I take full credit for thinking up this idea. Never mind the fact I didn’t make them, you should be praising me anyway. =P

I deliberately didn’t put any branding or claim on the images. If one downloads them off my Flickr, then claims them as his own, well, that’s your call.
If larger versions are required, I still have all the files. Let me know in the thread.

Wear the Engie, walk up to someone and just stare at them. If they pull out a wrench, run.

I made some masks myself, but these kick the crap outta ‘em. Good job!

Haha, nice nice man. I’ll have to use these when Halloween comes around again.

There is a God.
I’m going as a Spy to MegaCon this year, and this is just what I need to round out the look. Thank you so, so much.
