I don’t understand – Monty Python showcased 6 comedians at the height of their creativity and talent. Absurdism and surrealism were their calling cards, as well as brilliant word play, irony and satire.

This video, while I’m not denying that it’s amusing, contains not even a modicum of the wit present in Monty Python’s weakest sketches.

Simply sampling a quote from the program does not imbue this video with any of the characteristics that make Cleese, Idle, Palin, Jones, Chapman and Gilliam as among the greatest ever comedians.
