I actually have NEVER been backstabbed when checking someone by walking into them... On a side note, I must add that the video's lack of discussion in the finer points of crotch-taunting does not mean that I am not proficient with this, nor does it mean that I am not open for discussion on this topic. Often it is easier and more effective than firing on them, especially if you are playing demoman, where its hard to land a shot on them if they are moving around. I also find it better when I'm playing medic healing someone else, and I don't want to break the healing beam to switch to an offensive weapon to check them with. Yeah, there's a chance that they might backstab you, but if you're already suspicious of them, then its not that easy for them to get behind. Plus if you're around sentries or other players, the spy doesn't always want to risk breaking cover to take you out. @Rick - I gotta disagree with that one.
