Hey there Ubercharged,

Keep up the good work, constantly damaging my urge to do other things. TF2 is already the game I could just play forever, and every time I check this place out the urge to play becomes irresistable.

Thanks to your resolutions and recent scout video, just had some very fun and novel scout sessions on both attack and defense - good fun. It was easy to play as a good scout too, I just thought "Now why do I hate these b$%#rds again?" and then do that to other people.

"1. Give up random pointless taunting during warm up."
When defending gravelpit/dusbowl I've taken to going engineer (note I rarely play engy), helping set up, use up all my metal upgrading another blokes sentry/dispenser and then suiciding with my shotgun out to give him a little extra metal. I then choose a class I like and get to the front lines before the other team has finished taunting and been able to feverishly walk past the stickied entrances.

Attacking in Dustbowl I generally go medic, and then switch class after my 1st death - I figure an uber is worth quite a bit, and moreso if its essentially free.

"Plus in this part of the world, there aren’t that many servers, and they often get full up at peak time. Waiting for a spot to free up on a 24/7 dustbowl server could be better spend getting some love out of some of the other fine maps in the game"
Aussie map-specific servers are very scarce indeed - I think there's just a single 24hr dust server, and that tends to have either 0 or 24/24 players in it.

Man, I thought I was the only one who felt that way about 2fort. I find it a really unsatisfying map.

Not really a resolution but I hope to play with my friends more often. Something other than a typical pub game.

I really only try to play 2fort when heavily intoxicated. Halfway across the map there's a chance I'll forget what team I'm on and charge the wrong base. Good times.

<i>1. Give up random pointless taunting during warm up.</i>

This is so annoying.
I loved some of the taunts, but after hearing them for the thousands time they just get aggravating. Especially if something in the likes of "I owned all of you" comes from a player with little to no skill, its verry irritating.

<i>9. Stop joining the team that is already winning.</i>

Sometimes players who cant get on the other team because its locked just stand in your span doing nothing but waiting for a slot to open in the other team, all the while you know that you would just need this slot that bloke is blocking to turn the tide of the match.
I had a guy stand in my span for over 45 Minutes on a 12 player 2fort server before he finally gave up and left.

Sorry for the rant.

Happy holidays and happy new year! Some of my TF2 resolutions are similar. However I'm going to have to disagree on 2Fort. It's due to my background; I played TF1 back in the day. 2Fort is THE mother map. I don't believe any other map rewards a good team better than 2Fort.

Then again I'm working on being an old fart. :p
